The previous design featured a clickable list of all the game modes. The main challenge was transforming that to something more visual appealing and at the same time more user-friendly.

The new design
We designed a new way to select the game mode and to access more information.
The idea behind the new menu is to have a full responsive set of tiles that adapts as the user progress in the game. Some tiles disappear when they can’t be played anymore and new ones appear when the user unlocks them.
Tiles are adapting to the player progress
We needed a section that would have been flexible to every change: level progression, new content, new temporary events and so on. We designed it in a way that adapts to the player’s need.
The tiles order and size adapts to the player needs.
The menu changes often following the needs of the player. If the player is low level, he has some playlists as first choice while if he is higher level he has Ranked playlist as first choice and the Newcomer one disappears.
This feature is available in the game since
